January Stamp Club

Sunday was such a fabulous day!  I had the Stamp Club girls over for a fun day of crafting, and snacking (thanks Jen for the goodies!).  The technique this month was masking.  Check it out:
I am lovin' the Valentine Defined stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalogue!  Oh, and that Pompom trim!  So cute!!!

Our next project was this Valentine using the Punch Bunch stamp set (a freebie during Sale-a-bration) and the Valentine Defined stamp set.  Check out that glittery fabulous red paper!  I think Stampin' Up! made this Red Glimmer Paper just for me.  I don't like the mess of glitter, so this paper is perfect!

And what's a Valentines themed Stamp Club without a treat holder!?!  We made this adorable little Milk Carton with the die for the BIG SHOT, some Seam Binding Ribbon, more Red Glimmer Paper, a Bitty Button, and some First Edition DSP

Thanks ladies for such a great day!  It's always so fun to see everyone and create together.  I'll be back tomorrow to show you the scrapbooking layouts from the Scrapbooker's Club!

Build a Blossom & Punch Bunch

Happy Sunday!
I hope that if you are from the Calgary area you've had a chance to dig yourself (and your car!) out from all the snow we've received!  I must admit that I'm a little done with winter at this point and wasn't too happy with the arrival of more snow.

I thought for today's card I better show you something bright and springy so maybe mother nature will get the hint and give us some warm weather!  Doesn't she know I don't like the cold!?

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Build a Blossom, Punch Bunch (and yes, I am addicted to this stamp set!)
Cardstock:  Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink:  Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose
Punches:  1" Circle, Blossom Petals

I'm loving the Build a Blossom stamp set and it's matching punch!

Upline-Downline Gathering!

Some of my downline that could attend:  Amy, Darlene, Niki, Me, Morgan

Good Morning!

Sorry for my lack of post yesterday, but I was busy getting ready for the Downline Gathering last night.  It was snowing last night (and STILL is!) so the drive was much longer than anticipated, but we got there!  People may stop travelling with me given all the delays in airline and car travel I've had lately!

Kim, Kristine, and I did a short presentation on the news from Leadership.  It was such an exciting experience, so I hope that some (or ALL) will join us at Convention this summer!  We did a super cute make-n-take, which was cased from someone's Leadership swap.

Then we had a fantastic share time where everyone could show the projects they have been working on, class ideas, and workshop plans.  It was such a fantastic night!

Thanks to my downline members that could make it, and a big thanks fo Kim for hosting!

Sale-a-bration is under way!

So did you know that Stampin' Up! has a Facebook page?!?  Well I was on there today and saw some pictures of the distribution center that I thought would be fun to share with you.  When I went to Convention last summer I had the opportunity to see inside here and wow, it's HUGE!  They've got the packing and shipping of those fabulous products down to an art!  And I KNOW the distribution center is working full tilt with all those Sale-a-bration orders coming in.
Pictures and text from SU! Facebook Page.
After we get your order, the proper box is selected and a unique bar code is placed in the corner. That bar code tells the box where to go as it travels through the Distribution Center.
Your box’s first stop is along the Pick Line. Based on the information on your bar code, lights on the shelves tell pickers which and how many items go in each box.
After your box is loaded, weighed, and inspected for quality, it travels uphill to the packing area. The shipping label is applied, filler is added to keep things from moving around during shipping, and a fancy tape machine seals everything up.

Cards for Ronald McDonald House

Hi Everyone!

While at Stampin' Up! Leadership 2011 in Nashville we spent a few hours stamping cards for Ronald McDonald House.  These cards are made available to the residents and their families so they have beautiful handmade cards to send to whomever they want.  It really means alot to me that Stampin' Up! is such a giving and caring company, a company I am proud to be a part of!

So of course there was a bit of a catch.  Catch number one...it was a contest!  The table that created the 'best' card (chosen by Shelli) would get free goodies!  Catch number two...you could only use the items found in a mystery box of supplies randomly given to each table.  Each box had different 'ingredients'.  Here's the cards our table made:
Rose's Card

Kristine's Card

Kim's Card

Lisa's Card

My Card

We didn't win the contest, but we certainly had a fantastic time and donated a few hours (and a lot of cards!) to a very worthwhile cause.

Valentines Display

Hi Everyone!

Those who have been to my house know that I always have a new display each month for my customers.  So with Valentines Day around the corner, I thought I better get my display together.  This year I got lots of Valentines swaps at Leadership, so my board is full of these fabulous card ideas.  I still want to make a banner of some kind with the Pompom Trim, so I'll hopefully get that done this weekend.

Do you decorate for Valentines Day?  I like to!  :)

Hi Everyone!

We finally made it home from Stampin' Up! Leadership in Nashville!  I pulled up in front of the house about 4am.  Just enough time to have a shower and go to work.  I am one tired girl!

Any Stampin' Up! event is always a swapping frenzy, so of course I've got LOTS of swaps to show you over the next week or so.  These are my Fav Five.  As I was looking though them when I got home from work today they were the ones that jumped out.

The longest travel day ever....

So here I sit.  In Toronto at 11pm on Sunday night.  I was scheduled to be home in Calgary by 8:30pm, but plans have been SERIOUSLY altered thanks to United Airlines.  Grrr...

My flight is now delayed AGAIN and I'm not getting in to the Calgary airport until 2:30am.  So after the 40 minute drive home I should get about an hour and a half of sleep before I have to get up for work on Monday morning.  Great.

Thankfully I am still on a total high from Leadership in Nashville, so I'm in good spirits considering.  I have so many great things to share when I get home...whenever that is!  Haha!

Exploring Nashville

Hi Everyone!

Leadership may be over, but the fun still hasn't stopped!  Kim, Kristine and I took a taxi to downtown Nashville and explored.
Kristine and I in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame

Elvis' Star on the Country Music Walk of Fame

Bridgestone Arena where the Nashville Predators play

I love the downtown feel of Nashville.  It's unique and fun and alive.  There wasn't a Walmart, an Old Navy, or a Starbucks in sight.  It's a special city, and I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to see it.

This is the sign for Printer's Alley.  The former hub of printing in Nashville, and now the center of nightlife.  Go here for some more history.
This is the 'alley' from the end of the street.  Super cool!

In our travels we stumbled upon this super cute cupcake shop.  It was adorable!

Then we walked up to the Tennessee State Capitol.  It was a beautiful building.

And of course we couldn't visit downtown Nashville without seeing the Ryman.  Lots of history in this building!

What a fantastic day!  I had a GREAT time!  I'm sad that we'll be leaving Nashville tomorrow, but I'm happy to see my husband.  I can't wait to tell him all about my trip!

Nashville Leadership Wrap-up

This trip to Stampin' Up! Leadership in Nashville has been the highlight of my Stampin' Up! career!  I am so thankful for everyone who has contributed to this success.  If you are reading my blog you are one of those people, if you are a customer of mine you are one of those people, if you are in my downline you are one of those people, if you are my friend, my family, even my UPS man.  I am so thankful for you for helping me reach my goals.  It means so much to me.

Today was spectacular!  We began the morning with a great presentation from the CFO of Stampin' Up!  Can you believe he stamped his presentation?!?!  It was so awesome!  Stampin' Up! even makes the 'numbers' talks super fun!  His name is Scott.
I know, not a good picture, but he sure is a handsome fella!

This is his 'total order accuracy' banner.  So cute eh?  So we all know he had to get his 'numbers' in there...
Pretty smart that he flipped over his flags for the presentation.  He kept us stampers interested and deliverd the information we needed to know in a super fun way.  I love this company!

Oh, and of course there was FREE stuff!!!!  Again...I LOVE this company!
Everyone got a package of the Red Glimmer Paper, Glimmer Brads, and Glass Glitter!  It was a sparkly morning!!!

There were GREAT stamping presentations in the afternoon!  WOW!  I was amazed!  Check out this stuff!

And then....MORE free stuff!!!!  Like I said, I LOVE THIS COMPANY!

My upline Kristine givin' her free goodies some lovin'

The evening was the topper, the big one, the real treasure!  We had a make n' take night!  It was FABULOUS!
Lisa, Rose, Me, Kristine, Kim

It was such a fantastic time to chat about our time at Leadership and make some BEAUTIFUL projects!  This was truly an amazing gift from Stampin' Up!  We got TONS (and when I say TONS, I mean it) of free product in our make n' take boxes!  This is my favourite project from the night.
I was so pleased with them I put them on right away!

Thank you Stampin' Up! for all you have brought into my life and for being a company I am proud to say I am a part of.  I never thought 'just signing up to get a discount' could bring me to where I am today.  I did work hard to meet the goals it takes to get here, but I feel so lucky that the rewards are this amazing.  I am so thankful!
