One of the best parts of my job as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is doing workshops. I always love to meet a new group of stampers, or soon to be stampers! Workshops are the also the best way for you and your friends to 'test drive' some of the fabulous items in the Stampin' Up! catalogue.
AND, did you know that Stampin' Up! changed the hostess program this July to give you even more FREE stuff when you host a workshop with your friends? Check it out!
I would love to meet you and your friends and do some stamping! If you live in the Calgary area, please give me a call or send me off a quick email and we can schedule a date for your very own workshop! It's TONS of fun!
Talk to you soon!

September Stamp Club Projects
Our technique this month was Double Embossing. It's a combination of heat embossing and dry embossing with the Big Shot. Here's a close up so you can see what I'm talking about.
We are always practicing our sponging too. I think it's a 'must master' technique. :)
We also made this cute little card with the Batty for You stamp set. I just love these little Halloween critters! And the googly eyes up the adorable factor ten fold!
There's more info about the chocolate bar sleeves in yesterday's post, so just keep scrolling down to see those up close, or click HERE.
I'm planning a Halloween Treats class for the month of October, so I should have those details up by next week. We'll be using the little cello bags from the Holiday Mini Catalogue, so stay tuned!

Halloween Chocolate Bar Sleeves
I've been on a bit of a roll creating these Halloween chocolate bar sleeves for the trick or treaters this year. Halloween is one of my favourite holidays, so I like to do lots of crafts this time of year to get ready. I'm also attending two craft fairs before Halloween, so I thought I'd make some of these up to bring with me there too. :)
I can't take credit for these cuties though, I saw them here and immediately added the picture to my favourites. Thanks Mary Fish for the inspiration!
I hope you've had a great start to your week!

Some Halloween Inspiration
This summer when I went to Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City there were lots a fabulous Halloween projects! And with us just over a month away, it's certainly time to start your spooky craft projects. I am in LOVE with this Frankenstein treat bag. I don't know who made it, but I'm going to get some of these done this week I hope!
And I know I've shown you MANY great photos of the amazing display Stampin' Up! did called Product Park, BUT I was saving these few Halloween photos til now...
You've got to see a close-up of those decorated apples. I love it!
I hope that inspires you to do some Halloween creating! I'm spending the week making some chocolate bar sleeves for the trick or treaters. I'll show you those tomorrow. :)

Whoa, what a week!
I'm finally sitting down after a whirlwind week! I had my parents visiting, an important function at my husband's work, and then I just wrapped up a card class on Sunday evening! I've been running around like a crazy person since last Wednesday! So I am SO sorry for not posting on my blog, but I just couldn't be everywhere at once.
So you may have noticed the little blurb at the top of my blog about getting a new stamp set for FREE. This lovely little gem is from the new Occasions Mini Catalogue that isn't even being released until 2012! BUT, you can get it now by joining my team until Oct 2nd!
There's lots of information regarding becoming a demonstrator HERE as well as a few frequently asked questions, but I'm always available for a coffee date or a phone chat to help you. I have a fabulous team of ladies and I'd love to add you to the group!

Wacky Card Wednesday
The staff at Stampin' Up! are pretty inventive. I guess in the IT department there are two guys named Brett and Justin who started this tradition of making a card each Wednesday that included an item that was found on your desk. Here are two cards that SU! shared with us at the Edmonton regional.
That long black piece looks like something that should be INSIDE your computer, NOT on your desk!
I didn't get a good picture of the inside, but the top said something like 'Did you guess it smelled like rubber?"
And then they made a special card for us Canadians...
Thanks for rubbing it in Brett!!!!

Stampin' Up! Edmonton Regional 2011 - Part 3
As promised, I'm back to show you a few of my fave swaps from the Edmonton Regional. I received a TON of beautiful swaps, these are just a few of them. Some of them didn't have the names of the creators on the back, so if you see your card here, let me know and I'll add your info. :)
It was a pleasure swapping with you ladies!

Stampin' Up! Edmonton Regional 2011 - Part 2
On Saturday I was at the Edmonton regional with 6 of my downline. None of them had been to a Stampin' Up! event before, so they were all pretty excited to be there. Here we are just before we headed in to the frenzy.
I am used to travelling with my uplines and sidelines, so it was weird to be the 'mom' of the group this time. But I think I did ok. ;)
The first presentation was done by Pam Morgan from Stampin' Up! She showed us an adorable gift giving idea for knitters.
A pair of knitting needles in a cute little box that's been decorated using the Stocking Die! What a fabulous idea!
After Pam's short presentation we were turned loose to do our make n' takes, check out the displays, and watch some fellow demonstrators in action. The make n' takes were quick and easy, but most certainly wow's!
Of course I took a TON of pictures of the displays. Here are just a few of my faves.
The demonstrator booths were REALLY fun to watch! The ladies did a fabulous job and their projects were fantastic!
After lunch we had some great stamping presentations by Stampin' Up! staff. Donna Griffith shared this SPOOKY Halloween banner. I know the picture doesn't quite capture it, but this thing was so sparkly and blingy that you could see it across the room!
Carrie Cudney made some adorable projects with the Gift Givers stamp set. She also showed us how to make those adorable Shaker Frames into different shapes! This was a great tip!
Donna came back on stage and showed us some 'dude' cards. I guess there's something called 'Wacky Card Wednesday' at the home office that is organized by a couple of IT guys. I must tell you that these cards are HILARIOUS! But....I'll be waiting until Wednesday to show those to you. ;)
Shannon West did a super awesome presentation on the Stampin' Up! punches. Just when you think you've mastered something, Shannon comes along and teaches all sorts of new tricks! Here's some of her projects.
It was an amazing day and I'm so happy I got to share it with my fabulous downline! You're the best girls!

Stampin' Up! Edmonton Regional 2011 - Part 1
On Friday night I got in the car with 5 of my downline and headed to Edmonton for the Stampin' Up! Regional. But before I left, I spent some time in the afternoon making them a little gift to show them how much I care about them. I started with this...
And ended up with this...
So each of the girls got a paper coffee cup with a fabric coffee sleeve (made by my friend Shannon), and inside there was some breath mints, a mini toblerone bar, starbucks via instant coffee, and a mini pencil. They also got a mini composition book (but that didn't fit inside the cup)!
When we got to the hotel, I still had quite a bit of work to do on my last swap card.
The girls were SO awesome and gave me a hand! And since we had only one small desk we had to 'make' our own. Look what these geniuses came up with!
I don't know if they'll want to travel with me again after picking up those little pieces with tweezers and applying them to my cards though!
That's all for today. It's a beautiful sunny day here so I'm heading outside to enjoy it. Who knows how many nice days we have left until the S-N-O-W shows up! Ugh, I'm dreading it already...
